Professor Yu Wang recently joined a five-member delegation from the Zero-Carbon Combustion Center at Foshan Xianhu Laboratory on an invited visit to the Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. The delegation exchanged research ideas with CCRC Director Professor William Roberts, Professor Aamir Farooq, Professor Hong Im and other combustion researchers. Professor Wang presented “Carbon-Free Ammonia Combustion for Industrial Fabrication of Ceramic Tiles.”
Professor Wang studied and worked at CCRC from 2010 to 2015 and was the center’s first PhD graduate. Supervised by its founding director, Professor Suk Ho Chung, a member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea, he studied soot formation and laser diagnostics of combustion. This return visit established academic collaboration with his alma mater to advance industrial applications of carbon-free fuels.
