Professor John P. A. Ioannidis’s team at Stanford University recently published the sixth edition of the World’s Top 2% Scientists list for 2023 in the Elsevier Data Repository. Professor Yu Wang of the Advanced Combustion Laboratory was included in the list.
Published jointly by Stanford University and Elsevier, the list identifies the top 2% of nearly seven million scientists using measures including citation counts, the h-index, the coauthorship-adjusted hm-index, and citations to single-author or first-author papers. It covers 22 fields and 174 subfields and provides indicators of researchers’ long-term scientific performance and impact.
