In order to further strengthen the laboratory safety management and enhance the laboratory staff's safety awareness and prevention ability, the laboratory carried out safety training and safety education for freshmen in October. All the students in the laboratory participate in the training through online meetings and offline learning, which is presided over by Associate researcher Liuhao Ma.
In this training, combined with the case analysis of typical laboratory safety accidents, Mr. Ma emphasized the necessity of laboratory safety training and improving the safety management system; the common fire safety, the use of special gases and equipment, waste liquid storage and treatment, laser use safety and laboratory emergency plans were explained in detail, which benefited all the students attending the meeting.
Teacher Ma pointed out that safety is no small matter, and the laboratory will regularly carry out safety self-inspection, mutual inspection, and inspection to ensure that hidden safety problems can be discovered and rectified in a timely manner, so as to effectively ensure the "bottom line" of laboratory safety.
