In October 2022, the doctoral dissertation of Lei Xu, a 2020 graduate of the laboratory, was nominated for the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines’ 2022 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award. His dissertation is titled “Effects of Hydrogen and Alcohol Fuel Blending on Soot Formation in Diffusion Flames.”
During his PhD studies, Dr. Xu published ten papers in journals including Combustion and Flame, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Fuel, and received the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students. At the time of this announcement, he was a lecturer at the School of New Energy, Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
