In August 2025, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) issued the Notice on the Review Results of Concentrated Application Projects for the 2025 National Natural Science Foundation of China. The project titled "Synergistic Optimization of Ammonia Fuel Combustion Enhancement and Nitrogen Oxide Reduction Technologies," proposed by Professor Yu Wang, has been approved for funding under the NSFC General Program.
Dr. Yu Wang's research primarily focuses on emerging technologies for "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality," ammonia-hydrogen integrated new energy, combustion, and fluid dynamics. The implementation of this funded project will facilitate the laboratory's in-depth investigation into ammonia-fueled combustion enhancement technologies. Additionally, it will support the advancement of novel laser spectroscopy techniques and further expand the key technical approaches for controlling NOₓ emissions in ammonia fuel combustion enhancement systems.
