In September 2024, Professor Yu Wang from the Advanced Combustion Laboratory led graduate students to Shanghai to attend the 3rd International Ammonia Energy Conference.
Co-hosted by the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Foshan Xianhu Laboratory, the conference themed "Ammonia – New Energy, New Opportunities". During the event, Professor Yu Wang was invited to give a report titled "NO and N2O formation in ammonia-methane cofired premixed flames: A parametric study", sharing the research group’s latest achievements in the ammonia energy field.
The report presented a calibration-free, quantitative, and spatially resolved detection method for NO, N2O, and temperature in McKenna laminar premixed NH3/CH4 flames. Additionally, it conducted sensitivity and reaction pathway analyses on the formation characteristics of NO and N2O in NH3/CH4 flames.
