Dr. Liuhao Ma was invited to the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, for a technical exchange. He introduced the laboratory’s progress and strengths in optical sensing, with a detailed presentation of new combustion-diagnostic methods and applications based on infrared laser absorption and dispersion spectroscopy.
After the meeting, Dr. Ma visited Researcher Qiang Wang’s trace-gas sensing laboratory and Researcher Jinguang Lü’s Fourier-transform spectroscopy laboratory. He discussed techniques for detecting hydrocarbon emissions from natural-gas vehicles, and diagnostic methods for high-temperature, high-pressure environments in confined spaces, with the researchers.
The exchange supported the project on detecting multiple pollutant species in mobile-source emissions and laid the groundwork for further technical collaboration.
