Dr. Yu Yang

Dr. Yu Yang joined the Combustion and Laser Sensing Laboratory in October 2026. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Zhengzhou University and his PhD in Mechanical and Systems Engineering at Kyushu University, Japan. He is a lecturer and master’s supervisor in the School of Automotive Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology.

Dr. Yang’s research focuses on reaction mechanisms and chemical kinetics in low-carbon fuel combustion and pyrolysis, thermochemical hydrogen production, and metal surface degradation. He has published 13 SCI-indexed papers in journals including Energy, Fuel, and Renewable Energy, and received the Dean’s Award from Kyushu University.
